It has always been Dharma Master Cheng Yenˇ¦s wish that medical care concerns not only the curing of diseases, but also the healing of the whole person. Inspired by her ideal, health professionals and volunteer support personnel reached out from the confines of the hospitals to launch an all-volunteer healthcare organization entitled ˇ§Tzu Chi International Medical Associationˇ¨ (TIMA). Established in June 2004, TIMA ˇV Seattle holds monthly seminars, inviting speakers in the medical professions to share knowledge and new trends in healthcare, and conduct individual consultation.
